This restaurant was picked out by my wife while I was in a meeting. Using reviews on Yelp, she was confident in her choice & we were both very satisfied with our experience. The food was fabulous & the wait staff was very accommodating. Sometimes while on vacation, my wife and I will choose to enjoy every course, but split them between the two of us. The kitchen prepared the courses but split each onto two individual serviings. Wonderful service. Seared Scallups, Beet Salad, Lobster Ravioli followed by the catch of the day - triple tail & desert (can't remember - she ate most of it...) The dining experience was every bit as good as the experiences that I've enjoyed in New Orleans.

Surprisingly upscale. Nice ambience and good food. They even had a guitarist playing. I had a spinach and goat cheese salad which was to die for. Also lobster ravioli that was delicious and just the right size. The waitstaff was professional and attentive... perhaps a bit too much. Perhaps a tad obsequious but not enough to spoil our dining. Coconut gelato finished our meal and it was delicious too. I was disappointed that the place was barely half-full on a Saturday night. Perhaps the prices here discourage many. It looked like most of the dinner parties were for a special occasion. I would certainly go back.

We decided to give this restaurant a try. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly. It is a very nicely decorated restaurant. Get a seat next to the koi pond if you can. Its a cozy and more quiet space. We ordered a glass of champagne and a martini to start. Both were just ok but not great. The salads here are delicious. We had the watermelon salad and the tomato and buffalo mozzarella. The pasta too was delicious. We had the gnocchi and the pappardella. The wine we had with our meal was just ok. Dessert here was a miss. We shared the cheesecake and it was just a sliver, had no density, and lacked in taste. Well be back for the food.

We have been to this restaurant numerous times and have been very pleased. We arrived and were seated immediately. We ordered our dinner and an hour later the waitress came by to apologize that it had not come out yet. Then the manager came by and apologize that It had not come out and informed us that Our waitress failed to put our order in. We are okay though because we were sitting and talking. When our food came the person with the fillet their food was horribly overcooked. We actually send it back to the kitchen and they had to cook a new one. Everyone's food tasted good though so that was a good thing. The manager offered to comp the entire meal which we did not allow and we only allowed her to comp the one fillet that was not cooked appropriately. In hindsight we should have allowed them to comp the entire meal as the person who had the triple tail got ill on the way home and was ill all night from what she thinks was the food. I do understand that occasionally happens and we will come back again.

We were so glad we decided to come to this restaurant based on Yelp recommendations. It is an Italian restaurant which we did not figure out from the name. Food was spectacular! Wait staff attentive but not overbearing as some reviewers suggested! My husband and I had pasta, and my mother in law had the beet and spinach salad. We all thought our food was some of the best we had had on our trip! We were seated in the garden room - great ambience! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great service throughout. Talented, appropriate and subtle live music in the bar area. Great bar. The food was five stars. One of our party ordered the house made spaghetti amatriciana which was rated by our group as 'best pasta ever' (this is notable as the previous 'best' was in Umbria). Daily special fish dish was excellent as we're the side dishes, Italian cheeses with condiments--all were all great. Coconut and coffee gelato have now both become 'bests' (sorry Angelo Brocato). One of our party is a vegetarian and was able to put together an exceptional meal (ratatouille and black rice). We were more than pleasantly surprised by Mango Tree and will be back. We ordered an additional order to go of the spaghetti amatriciana for lunch the next day.

Stumbled pup this hidden gem tonight. We were passing through Cocoa to buy surfboards. Every course ordered was absolutely delicious. My wife and I visited in late March and had an excellent meal. Only downside was that service was a little slow, however, the meal was very good.
Take a tour of the outside and you will be amazed. Beautiful, huge plants, sweet-smelling flowers, and a small pond with fish and geese. It's absolutely stunning. Inside, however, is quite different. The decor changes from room to room and is hit or miss. I guess, to sum it up, it's very 'Florida' in that overly beachy, pink, and shell-themed way with some modern touches added. Weird. The restaurant is touted as one of the more upscale places in the area. The food is, unfortunately, relatively uninspiring and the options are things you'd find on many menus. Although it is presented in a very pretty way on the plate, there is nothing new and exciting about many of the dishes. I understand that they have to import the wines and that can get pricey for the restaurant, but even the CA wines (the ones I get for $20 in the supermarket) are beyond marked up. They do, however, have a few good options, provided you can afford them. On the positive side, the night I went, there were a bunch of teenagers having dinner pre-prom. I was pleased to see how well they were treated (and probably tolerated) by the staff. They also tolerated and excused my grandfather when he drank too much and knocked drinks over. That was nice.

We've been going here for the past twenty years or so, and the place has improved over that time, especially after the ownership change about four years ago. Live piano music has been replaced by very pleasant guitar music, which seems to make the space a bit more intimate. Certainly the volume level is perfect, allowing conversation, yet providing a great listening environment. The window into the kitchen seems a bit disconnected from the rest of the ambiance, but this really affects only the table right in front of it. The bartender here is fabulous, and gave us one of the best bar experiences we've had, encouraging us to sample different exotic liqueurs and concocting drinks from scratch, the old fashioned way (pun intended). I will return specifically because of his great service.

Was in town Easter weekend and did not have reservation with a party of 6, thanks to my fellow yelpers I was able to find this gem. Outside looks like it would be very small and we even questioned if we were at the right place. To our surprise we entered what was a very nice place with a full service bar that looked very modern and a koi pond in the dining area. Live music was low but made for a very relaxing evening. The food was great! We had snapper special, pork chop, veal chop, and the spaghetti all of which was excellent. The service was top notch and the entire staff was very friendly. Enjoy!!!!

I used OpenTable to make reservations for two by the pond at the rear of the restaurant. We were welcomed warmly by EVERY member of the staff that we passed! Alan, our server, was the ultimate professional. He exhibited thorough knowledge of the extensive wine list, pairing our dinner choices with a fine Malbec from Argentina (Graffigna Centenario Reserve 2010). Normally we don't care too much for red wines, but this was exceptional, and reasonable at $41. We began our feast with a crab cake, piled high with a homemade avocado salsa, and I enjoyed the understated and lobster-filled bisque. Delicious! For entrees, my wife chose one of the special appetizers: grouper cheeks prepared in a ceviche-like citrus vinaigrette. It was simply amazing! And also amazing was the fact that she was adventurous enough to try it and enjoy it! I also chose a special: a 10 oz. petite filet mignon broiled to perfection, served with smashed potatoes and baby asparagus. Let me tell you, there was nothing "petite" about this filet! I literally could not finish it - even though it was one of the most succulent and tender pieces of beef I've ever had. Forsaking all thoughts of vacation dieting, we also chose two desserts: the well-recommended tiramisu was somewhat like a parfait, served in stemware. Again, we're not usually fans of this dessert, but this was heavenly. While inhaling this, we overheard some mention of our favorite dessert, creme brulee. "Alan," we waved to him, "Could you bring us a creme brulee?" Again, this was a wonderful, classic interpretation of the French dessert. It, too, disappeared rather quickly. We just might show up there again before we leave the area. It's THAT terrific!

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the higher rating on the other reviews for this place. The flavors were complex and very new to me. I got pork wrapped in prosciutto (I think). It had walnuts and tasted of wine. There were carrots, fingerling potatoes and a leek. My boyfriend got the chicken with tarragon and some wonderful mashed potatoes. He was impressed with the food and it's a great value for the price. (Our dishes were around $22 each.) The waiter was very enthusiastic - actually too enthusiastic - about how great the food was there. He repeated (loudly) the same script to each new party that arrived. We get it, you worship the food and you want to convince everyone that the chef is a god that makes the best food in all of Florida. Gets pretty annoying. He also kept trying to push this "grouper" fish dish on us. After we didn't express much interest in the fish or share his emphatic enthusiasm for the chef's godly powers, he didn't come back to our table, which I'm not complaining about. Another server was very attentive and tended to us for the remainder of the meal. Water was refilled often, I got some more of their bread (which tasted like chicken?) and the meal was delicious. I did not, however, appreciate the greeting we received when we walked in. From the entrance, the maitre'd escorted us to the back of the restaurant and a waiter standing on the side nodded and smiled as we passed by. He then said, "Konichiwa!" ...Excuse me? Yes, I'm Asian. No, you cannot assume my ethnicity and practice your broken Asianese on me. I was visiting from a distant land (California) and I don't know about you, but a simple "Hello" will suffice. 5 stars for the food. 2 stars for the slightly irritating staff and racial microaggression. Management, if you're reading this, please address it with your staff. It can be very offensive.

My bridal shower was hosted at The Mango Tree... it was wonderful! I can't comment on the planning portion, but the event itself was beautifully executed. When I arrived, a private room was set for all of the invitees and each place was set with water and a menu. There was a small round table in the corner for gifts and chairs in front of the room set up for me to sit and open gifts after the meal. The server (I feel horrible I didn't get her name!) was fantastic. She managed to float between conversations and make sure that everyone had a drink without being intrusive. My glass was never empty and she never had to ask what I was drinking. Bread came out first and it was excellent! Light and fluffy and well seasoned served with olive oil and herbs. I ordered the Tuna served over greens and vegetables (carrots, zucchini) It was very good, but the tuna was cooked medium well. I didn't indicate rare (my preference), but was not asked either. In the future, I will know to say something. The staff was there to help provide paper and pens to write down gifts for thank you notes and helped to find scissors and tape for the "brides hat". They went above and beyond to be accommodating. All in all, everything was excellent! I had a fabulous day and want to thank the staff for being there to share a special day with me as well!

Beef carpaccio is to die for, even the damn arugula salad is the on my top ten fav things I've ever eaten and it's lettuce for gosh sakes. You'll leave with you hair standing on edge from the flavor explosion that will take place. Desserts=UNREAL. Bartender Mark is the best, you'll feel like you've known him for years. A great place for a "last night" dinner in Cocoa Beach! Noms: From interesting complimentary cheesy-rice-ball appetizer served over tomato sauce (so awkward to eat but delicious) to salmon, duck, ravioli, tiramisu and crepes Suzette, we tried it all when we came here on a slow, slow night. All the food was cooked nicely and arrived in a timely fashion. Lobster ravioli was quite interesting (lemon scented sauce!) but beware of a tiny portion compared to the other entrees. The oohs and ahs: lovely service, really. Think waiting by your seat napkin-to-lap placement and attentive wine pairings. The decor is classy and a nice change from the more touristy offerings nearby.

Probably the best lobster bisque I have ever had. I would come back and sit at the bar for this alone (though you might need to order four "bowls" of it). Pomodoro salad is out of this world, too -- gorgeous slices of bright red tomatoes with capers, red onions and a super yummy vinaigrette. Everything was mediocre after that. Most of us ordered lobster ravioli -- which might have been perfect, but for the addition of pineapple to the creamy sauce. Completely ruined the dish. Also the pappardella was nothing special. They forgot to bring the sides we ordered and we didn't bother reminding them. Which brings me to service: Didn't stay for dessert because service was glacially slow -- but it was Saturday after Thanksgiving and it looked like they had two private wedding parties on top of it all. They were understaffed and the hostess was pitching in for the wait staff. Didn't matter much as we were in no rush. However, we could have done without the waiter who returned to our table and said our wine choice was out of stock. No big deal -- apart from the fact that he did not return with the wine menu, and his replacement recommendation was $15 more than our original pick, and from another continent. At least it was good wine!

I used Open Table to make our reservations for the Mango Tree to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and everything was amazing. In making our reservations I had mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and asked if the chef could do something special for my wife. The chef created a special Dark Chocolate Truffle dessert especially for her which she dearly loved. She had the lamb chops which were simply amazing and my ravioli was tremendous stuff with lobster. The service provided by David and Joe was superb as well. Without a doubt this was one of our more charming, exceptional and memorable dining experiences. The friendliness of everyone made us feel so special. David, our waiter walked us to the door and presented a rose to my wife on our way out of the restaurant. Over all, this was an exceptional evening!

We just found this GEM and it motivated me to write my first YELP review. The servers were lovely, even with my flamboyant 2 year old daughter. The ambiance was delightful. They had a live guitarist preforming. The place has several cozy dining areas so you could have conversation and even some privacy while dining. There was a lot to look at inside (with the creative decor and many paintings) and outside (with impressive landscaping and a soothing fountain). And then of course there is the food.... I was lucky enough to dine with my father and his gourmand wife Annie. Being a restauranteur she has educated me quite a bit about food over the years and we were all thrilled with our selections. But before we had any of our dishes the waiter came by with a lightly fried rice ball in a small dish with a gorgonzola sauce. Even my 2 year old ate hers right up it was so yummy. We ordered the Spinach, Beet, Orange and Goat cheese salad with one delectable candied pecan. The assortment of flavors was delicious. Annie had the Carpacio (I have never heard her hum quite like that) and the Pancotti Giseppi Verde, Spinach Ravioli Triangles. I was jealous that this dish had meat as an integral part of the flavors as Im a big fan of sage butter and ravioli. My Dad had "the Chicken" Pollo Repleno and was quite happy. My 2 year old and I had the Bucatini Amatriciana without the bacon, which was a big hit with both of us. I lapped up every bit of the sauce with the home made bread and then enjoyed the fountain while my Dad and Annie finished their wine. What a great place to find on our last night in town! If we ever come back around here we will be back!

Wow, this food was a treat. I travel for business and have had many good pasta meals in NY and Chicago, this pasta rivaled anything I have had... This is a great restaurant. White table cloths. Upscale wait staff. Gentle jazz guitar dinner music For the Cocoa Beach power drinking crowd, this is a great alternative. We shared the Crab Cake as an appetizer. Crispy and paired with Avocado and acid from tomato and a bit of spice. yum. We shared an order of the spinach pasta triangles. The pasta was amazing but the brown butter and sage sauce really was a compliment. I order the Linguini and Clams. Best I have ever had! The broth was light but had this great butter flavor to it that came through. A hint of herbs. Nice meaty clams served in the shell on top of pasta and a very nice portion size. Warm fresh bread. Wow. This was very fresh and properly cooked pasta. Simply well done, tasty, clean flavors. A couple of notes about the evening. Service is not rushed so it took an hour and a half to eat. That was some of our choosing but I noticed that the bar, not the kitchen, seemed to be a bit backed up for other tables. To the management team, I know you are in a resort community and need to cater to families but could you please seat families with children in a shed, or the backyard, or someplace other than the main dining area. This is a white table cloth restaurant and the worst part of the meal was the loud mouth little girl and her IDIOT parents that did not keep the child quiet. Not the kids fault for lack of courtesy and control displayed by her family. I take no stars away from this amazing meals. Not the owners fault. But please be aware of the patrons who are trying to enjoy your wonderful food.

I guess if you've never been to a really good restaurant you would think this place is awesome. Skip this place and drive a couple miles south to The Fat Snook. Positives - Great Atmosphere! Decent Wine selection (even though our waiter was clueless when it came to wine) Negatives - wait staff needs some work. Our waiter had no knowledge of wine. I get that wine isn't for everyone but if you work in this type of restaurant you should know a little about your selection. Your answer should never be "I have no idea. I don't drink wine". Plus, learn to pour wine. There were stains all over our tablecloth from his drips of our $70 bottle of wine. Also, learn the menu! I asked for his advice between the chicken and the pork and his answer was I've never tried either one. I asked how long he's worked there and his answer was 5 years. Waiter 101, know the food! Finally - food was not impressive. It was good, but at these prices you just expect more. Appetizer Ravioli & cheese plate were blah. I went with the pork and WOW does the chef like sage. The presentation was pretty and looked like it was going to be awesome. Then I tasted it and was disappointed. Not bad, but not great. I should have known as soon as I walked in and we were the only couple under 70. They like bland food and awesome atmospheres. This is definitely the place for them! I won't be going back.
Very nice upscale brunch spot for Cocoa Beach! Why wait 30 mins for Simply Delicious when you can be seated right away? The atmosphere is very nice and the value is very good. They don't have an extensive brunch/breakfast menu, but what they do have is great. The eggs Benedict was our favorite, and only $8. The cappuccino and Bloody Mary very good. Can't wait to try dinner here. The new owners are doing very well so far!

Had a great dinner here after visiting Kennedy space center while on vacation. The price is reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. I can't recall the names of the food since they're in Italian, but we started with the tuna/salmon with mango/pineapple on top which was yummy. For main courseI had the steak which was juicy and tender (best I've had in a long time) and my gf had the spinach ravioli which was also tasty. We got the crepe for dessert, as well as the molten chocolate cake and they were pretty good. However, I felt that the chocolate cake needed ice cream with it to balance the warmth of the cake but I'm a sucker for ice cream.

Friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was excellent both food and service. We had the one of the specials: sea bass over polenta. The fish had a nice crust and it was cooked perfectly. The polenta was creamy and rich. Bread was served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and it was really good as well. Our waiter was very attentive and passionate about the food. We plan to go back.

Went here because they had good reviews on Yelp when I was on vacation in Florida last week. The place is clean and they staff is very attentive but the prices are expensive for what they offer. You don't even get a salad included with your entree for the price you pay and the food comes in half and full size portions. I ordered the full size rigatoni and when it came out it looked like a half size portion anywhere else I had ever been in my life. I wanted to ask where the rest of my food was. If I had ordered the half size it would have been the size of a half dollar. Way too much money for way too little food and this is coming from a New Yorker who is use to paying out the tush for not much. Ever been to a Yankee game?! Don't bother if you're hungry. The food is tasty but you might want to go for pizza after to get full because this place will make your wallet light and your belly still in need.

I decided to take my wife to a very nice restaurant for her birthday. Mango Tree was an excellent choice. The place has been remodeled and looks great. We had a great dinner. I ordered the risotto with sea scallops and it was out of this world (Chef Ramsey would be proud). My wife ordered Pansotti Giuseppe Verdi (spinach ravioli triangles stuffed with beef filet and sauteed with prosciutto, asparagus, butter and sage) sounds amazing and it was! I had to force her to share it with me. For dessert we had a very good tiramisu. Chef Filadi came to our table to say hi and turned us on to a special dessert of yogurtt/Vanilla ice cream with strawberrys marinated in a red wine reduction. WOW! The wine was fine and the coffee was fresh and very good. 5 Stars all the way around.

Disappointing.... Not worth the price... Several better Italian options in town including the Dove or Amici or even Domenicos. She had the fresh catch which was good but nothing special. Since this restaurant has been re-opened as an upscale Italian spot, I've been twice. Both times it's been outstanding. You can't miss ordering some type of pasta dish, either as an entree or to share with the table. The pasta is all made at the restaurant and so delicious. On our first visit, we tried a ravioli that had filet of beef inside it (with other spices/ingredients) and was served in a sage butter sauce. I don't think we left a drop of the sauce. We also tried their bucatini amatriciana...also amazing. On that same visit they were featuring black truffles, so my father and I ordered their beef filet special with a truffle sauce. Oh. my. dang. So very good! My mother ordered their crab cake as a starter and she was in love. The service was wonderful as well. I decided to take my wife back for our 10 year anniversary this past March. We were trying to decide between a few restaurants in town (The Fat Snook, Crush Eleven) but decided that The Mango Tree was where we wanted to celebrate. We were so glad that we did. They knew it was our anniversary and sat us in a more secluded area away from other parties. I appreciated that. We had a soft shell crab appetizer with a delicious creamy sauce. Then my wife tried their mushroom bisque. I was wishing I'd gotten my own bowl. We also had to try another small order of that delicious bucatini amatriciana. It was just as good as we'd remembered. My wife ordered their red snapper special and I tried their double cut pork chop. I've never had a thick pork chop like that cooked so perfectly. Usually it's a little on the dry side (at least part of it) but this was PERFECTLY cooked throughout. My wife's snapper was amazing also. The only slight miss was dessert and it was a homemade coconut ice cream that we shared. It was just OK... not something I'd order again I think. We also had a bottle of wine which, sadly, I can't remember at this point. I must be getting old :\ If you're in the mood for truly upscale Italian, then The Mango Tree is where you should be. This isn't a "nicer Carrabba's" (although I do enjoy Carrabba's.. don't get me wrong). It's in a whole other league. It's a bit pricey but completely worth it.

This restaurant was picked out by my wife while I was in a meeting. Using reviews on Yelp, she was confident in her choice & we were both very satisfied with our experience. The food was fabulous & the wait staff was very accommodating. Sometimes while on vacation, my wife and I will choose to enjoy every course, but split them between the two of us. The kitchen prepared the courses but split each onto two individual serviings. Wonderful service. Seared Scallups, Beet Salad, Lobster Ravioli followed by the catch of the day - triple tail & desert (can't remember - she ate most of it...) The dining experience was every bit as good as the experiences that I've enjoyed in New Orleans.

Surprisingly upscale. Nice ambience and good food. They even had a guitarist playing. I had a spinach and goat cheese salad which was to die for. Also lobster ravioli that was delicious and just the right size. The waitstaff was professional and attentive... perhaps a bit too much. Perhaps a tad obsequious but not enough to spoil our dining. Coconut gelato finished our meal and it was delicious too. I was disappointed that the place was barely half-full on a Saturday night. Perhaps the prices here discourage many. It looked like most of the dinner parties were for a special occasion. I would certainly go back.

We decided to give this restaurant a try. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly. It is a very nicely decorated restaurant. Get a seat next to the koi pond if you can. Its a cozy and more quiet space. We ordered a glass of champagne and a martini to start. Both were just ok but not great. The salads here are delicious. We had the watermelon salad and the tomato and buffalo mozzarella. The pasta too was delicious. We had the gnocchi and the pappardella. The wine we had with our meal was just ok. Dessert here was a miss. We shared the cheesecake and it was just a sliver, had no density, and lacked in taste. Well be back for the food.

We have been to this restaurant numerous times and have been very pleased. We arrived and were seated immediately. We ordered our dinner and an hour later the waitress came by to apologize that it had not come out yet. Then the manager came by and apologize that It had not come out and informed us that Our waitress failed to put our order in. We are okay though because we were sitting and talking. When our food came the person with the fillet their food was horribly overcooked. We actually send it back to the kitchen and they had to cook a new one. Everyone's food tasted good though so that was a good thing. The manager offered to comp the entire meal which we did not allow and we only allowed her to comp the one fillet that was not cooked appropriately. In hindsight we should have allowed them to comp the entire meal as the person who had the triple tail got ill on the way home and was ill all night from what she thinks was the food. I do understand that occasionally happens and we will come back again.

We were so glad we decided to come to this restaurant based on Yelp recommendations. It is an Italian restaurant which we did not figure out from the name. Food was spectacular! Wait staff attentive but not overbearing as some reviewers suggested! My husband and I had pasta, and my mother in law had the beet and spinach salad. We all thought our food was some of the best we had had on our trip! We were seated in the garden room - great ambience! I highly recommend this restaurant!

I've been here for lunch and dinner, and everything has always been perfect. I have high standards, but the food never fails to impress. Also, the waitstaff is very attentive and friendly. Great service throughout. Talented, appropriate and subtle live music in the bar area. Great bar. The food was five stars. One of our party ordered the house made spaghetti amatriciana which was rated by our group as 'best pasta ever' (this is notable as the previous 'best' was in Umbria). Daily special fish dish was excellent as we're the side dishes, Italian cheeses with condiments--all were all great. Coconut and coffee gelato have now both become 'bests' (sorry Angelo Brocato). One of our party is a vegetarian and was able to put together an exceptional meal (ratatouille and black rice). We were more than pleasantly surprised by Mango Tree and will be back. We ordered an additional order to go of the spaghetti amatriciana for lunch the next day.

The New Mango Tree is Superb The Old Mango tree was a staple of Space Coast dining from 1985 until it closed in in 2008. In January of 2012, new owners Chef Filadi and his wife reopened a new Mango Tree. The old Mango tree was a good restaurant that grew tired. The new Mango Tree is a gem. We dined at the Mango Tree on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Thankfully we had a 6:30 dinner reservation as the place was completely full. The new Mango Tree has an Italian influenced menu but not the pasta in red sauce that many Americans think of when they hear the word Italian but the kind of food real Italians eat in Italy. Chef Filadi is from Italy and received formal culinary training in Italy, France, and the UK before working in several top restaurants in New York City and Las Vegas. His skills are put to great use at Mango Tree. I started with Carpaccio Mango Tree ($8.00) which featured thin slices of Yelllowfin Tuna and cured salmon with a relish of fresh pineapple, mango and strawberry chunks in a passion fruit chunks. This could be the best fish Carpaccio I have ever tasted. With an appetizer this amazing I will have a tough time starting with anything else on future visits. Then the table next to us had Calimari with fried zucchini that looked and smelled amazing. Note to self... next time order two appetizers. My spouse started Spinaci Saitati, sautéed spinach in olive oil with a hint of garlic. At $3.00 this dish was a bargain and a good option for those ( like my spouse) who are not fans of Caesar salad. My spouse had half orders of Lobster Ravioli ( $10.00 half portion, $16.00 full portion) and Pansotti Giuseppe Verdi, fresh spinach ravioli triangles stuffed with beef fillet asparagus, butter, and sage. Both pastas were fresh and flavorful. I had Guazzetto di Mahi Mahi, which was you guessed it Mahi cooked in white wine with clams, shrimp, and sautéed spinache served with a side of risotto style rice ($24.00). The sauce on the fish (white wine based) with some clam accents was so amazing I had to mop the plate clean with bread. Yum. For desert I had a crepe with Mangos topped with Mango gelato style ice cream that was clearly churned on the premises. My spouse had a baked to order chocolate lava cake with a butterscotch or caramel sauce. Both deserts were served warm and are competitive with the very best restaurants in the Space Coast. The new Mango Tree has something for everyone, pasta, chicken, beef, lamb, and fish options round out a small but diverse menu. Our server was talented, knowledgeable, attentive and professional. In my opinion, Mango Tree is one of the top five restaurants in the Space Coast. Five well earned stars. *** Update 10/29/2012 Carpaccio Mango Tree easily the best appetizer at Mango Tree and pershaps in all of Cocoa Beach disappeared from the menu when the menu was updated a few months ago... If you liked this dish please ask your server or the owner to bring it back... I am dining at Mango Tree less frequently since my favorite thing on their menu vanished without explanation. Perhaps the fruit is seasonal but mangoes and strawberries are still in the grocery store. *** *** Update Two - May 2013... Carpaccio Mango Tree is not back on the menu despite the fact that it is now summer and Mangoes and Strawberries are in season... What a shame that they did away with such an amazing dish. They were out of the Mango desert crepe last time we went. Prices have crept upwards since they opened (this is not unexpected). We used to dine here regularly but now do so infrequently. 4.5 stars.

Take a tour of the outside and you will be amazed. Beautiful, huge plants, sweet-smelling flowers, and a small pond with fish and geese. It's absolutely stunning. Inside, however, is quite different. The decor changes from room to room and is hit or miss. I guess, to sum it up, it's very 'Florida' in that overly beachy, pink, and shell-themed way with some modern touches added. Weird. The restaurant is touted as one of the more upscale places in the area. The food is, unfortunately, relatively uninspiring and the options are things you'd find on many menus. Although it is presented in a very pretty way on the plate, there is nothing new and exciting about many of the dishes. I understand that they have to import the wines and that can get pricey for the restaurant, but even the CA wines (the ones I get for $20 in the supermarket) are beyond marked up. They do, however, have a few good options, provided you can afford them. On the positive side, the night I went, there were a bunch of teenagers having dinner pre-prom. I was pleased to see how well they were treated (and probably tolerated) by the staff. They also tolerated and excused my grandfather when he drank too much and knocked drinks over. That was nice.

We've been going here for the past twenty years or so, and the place has improved over that time, especially after the ownership change about four years ago. Live piano music has been replaced by very pleasant guitar music, which seems to make the space a bit more intimate. Certainly the volume level is perfect, allowing conversation, yet providing a great listening environment. The window into the kitchen seems a bit disconnected from the rest of the ambiance, but this really affects only the table right in front of it. The bartender here is fabulous, and gave us one of the best bar experiences we've had, encouraging us to sample different exotic liqueurs and concocting drinks from scratch, the old fashioned way (pun intended). I will return specifically because of his great service.

Was in town Easter weekend and did not have reservation with a party of 6, thanks to my fellow yelpers I was able to find this gem. Outside looks like it would be very small and we even questioned if we were at the right place. To our surprise we entered what was a very nice place with a full service bar that looked very modern and a koi pond in the dining area. Live music was low but made for a very relaxing evening. The food was great! We had snapper special, pork chop, veal chop, and the spaghetti all of which was excellent. The service was top notch and the entire staff was very friendly. Enjoy!!!!

I used OpenTable to make reservations for two by the pond at the rear of the restaurant. We were welcomed warmly by EVERY member of the staff that we passed! Alan, our server, was the ultimate professional. He exhibited thorough knowledge of the extensive wine list, pairing our dinner choices with a fine Malbec from Argentina (Graffigna Centenario Reserve 2010). Normally we don't care too much for red wines, but this was exceptional, and reasonable at $41. We began our feast with a crab cake, piled high with a homemade avocado salsa, and I enjoyed the understated and lobster-filled bisque. Delicious! For entrees, my wife chose one of the special appetizers: grouper cheeks prepared in a ceviche-like citrus vinaigrette. It was simply amazing! And also amazing was the fact that she was adventurous enough to try it and enjoy it! I also chose a special: a 10 oz. petite filet mignon broiled to perfection, served with smashed potatoes and baby asparagus. Let me tell you, there was nothing "petite" about this filet! I literally could not finish it - even though it was one of the most succulent and tender pieces of beef I've ever had. Forsaking all thoughts of vacation dieting, we also chose two desserts: the well-recommended tiramisu was somewhat like a parfait, served in stemware. Again, we're not usually fans of this dessert, but this was heavenly. While inhaling this, we overheard some mention of our favorite dessert, creme brulee. "Alan," we waved to him, "Could you bring us a creme brulee?" Again, this was a wonderful, classic interpretation of the French dessert. It, too, disappeared rather quickly. We just might show up there again before we leave the area. It's THAT terrific!

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the higher rating on the other reviews for this place. The flavors were complex and very new to me. I got pork wrapped in prosciutto (I think). It had walnuts and tasted of wine. There were carrots, fingerling potatoes and a leek. My boyfriend got the chicken with tarragon and some wonderful mashed potatoes. He was impressed with the food and it's a great value for the price. (Our dishes were around $22 each.) The waiter was very enthusiastic - actually too enthusiastic - about how great the food was there. He repeated (loudly) the same script to each new party that arrived. We get it, you worship the food and you want to convince everyone that the chef is a god that makes the best food in all of Florida. Gets pretty annoying. He also kept trying to push this "grouper" fish dish on us. After we didn't express much interest in the fish or share his emphatic enthusiasm for the chef's godly powers, he didn't come back to our table, which I'm not complaining about. Another server was very attentive and tended to us for the remainder of the meal. Water was refilled often, I got some more of their bread (which tasted like chicken?) and the meal was delicious. I did not, however, appreciate the greeting we received when we walked in. From the entrance, the maitre'd escorted us to the back of the restaurant and a waiter standing on the side nodded and smiled as we passed by. He then said, "Konichiwa!" ...Excuse me? Yes, I'm Asian. No, you cannot assume my ethnicity and practice your broken Asianese on me. I was visiting from a distant land (California) and I don't know about you, but a simple "Hello" will suffice. 5 stars for the food. 2 stars for the slightly irritating staff and racial microaggression. Management, if you're reading this, please address it with your staff. It can be very offensive.

My bridal shower was hosted at The Mango Tree... it was wonderful! I can't comment on the planning portion, but the event itself was beautifully executed. When I arrived, a private room was set for all of the invitees and each place was set with water and a menu. There was a small round table in the corner for gifts and chairs in front of the room set up for me to sit and open gifts after the meal. The server (I feel horrible I didn't get her name!) was fantastic. She managed to float between conversations and make sure that everyone had a drink without being intrusive. My glass was never empty and she never had to ask what I was drinking. Bread came out first and it was excellent! Light and fluffy and well seasoned served with olive oil and herbs. I ordered the Tuna served over greens and vegetables (carrots, zucchini) It was very good, but the tuna was cooked medium well. I didn't indicate rare (my preference), but was not asked either. In the future, I will know to say something. The staff was there to help provide paper and pens to write down gifts for thank you notes and helped to find scissors and tape for the "brides hat". They went above and beyond to be accommodating. All in all, everything was excellent! I had a fabulous day and want to thank the staff for being there to share a special day with me as well!

Beef carpaccio is to die for, even the damn arugula salad is the on my top ten fav things I've ever eaten and it's lettuce for gosh sakes. You'll leave with you hair standing on edge from the flavor explosion that will take place. Desserts=UNREAL. Bartender Mark is the best, you'll feel like you've known him for years. A great place for a "last night" dinner in Cocoa Beach! Noms: From interesting complimentary cheesy-rice-ball appetizer served over tomato sauce (so awkward to eat but delicious) to salmon, duck, ravioli, tiramisu and crepes Suzette, we tried it all when we came here on a slow, slow night. All the food was cooked nicely and arrived in a timely fashion. Lobster ravioli was quite interesting (lemon scented sauce!) but beware of a tiny portion compared to the other entrees. The oohs and ahs: lovely service, really. Think waiting by your seat napkin-to-lap placement and attentive wine pairings. The decor is classy and a nice change from the more touristy offerings nearby.

As Mango Tree has recently re-opened with new owners, a full remodel, and different over all feel.. I can highly recommend The Mango Tree! I advise having a reservation, as this is not your tourist fare with casual dining experience. It is such a lovely change of pace to get all dolled up, have a reservation, order a nice glass of wine, and enjoy a sophisticated ambiance. We started with a nice bottle of wine, the fruit + cheese plate, and shrimp flambé. Each and every item divine! Our entree selection included lobster ravioli, egg pasta with clams, and salmon. The portions are generous, prepared perfectly, and there was not a single sample offering left after completing our meals. Good sign! The service is superb! Our experience was 5 stars from the moment we called to reserve a table to bidding us farewell after our most enjoyable meal! I am looking forward to visiting upon my next trip to my grandparents! So excited to have an upscale place to dine at in Cocoa Beach!

Probably the best lobster bisque I have ever had. I would come back and sit at the bar for this alone (though you might need to order four "bowls" of it). Pomodoro salad is out of this world, too -- gorgeous slices of bright red tomatoes with capers, red onions and a super yummy vinaigrette. Everything was mediocre after that. Most of us ordered lobster ravioli -- which might have been perfect, but for the addition of pineapple to the creamy sauce. Completely ruined the dish. Also the pappardella was nothing special. They forgot to bring the sides we ordered and we didn't bother reminding them. Which brings me to service: Didn't stay for dessert because service was glacially slow -- but it was Saturday after Thanksgiving and it looked like they had two private wedding parties on top of it all. They were understaffed and the hostess was pitching in for the wait staff. Didn't matter much as we were in no rush. However, we could have done without the waiter who returned to our table and said our wine choice was out of stock. No big deal -- apart from the fact that he did not return with the wine menu, and his replacement recommendation was $15 more than our original pick, and from another continent. At least it was good wine!

I used Open Table to make our reservations for the Mango Tree to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and everything was amazing. In making our reservations I had mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and asked if the chef could do something special for my wife. The chef created a special Dark Chocolate Truffle dessert especially for her which she dearly loved. She had the lamb chops which were simply amazing and my ravioli was tremendous stuff with lobster. The service provided by David and Joe was superb as well. Without a doubt this was one of our more charming, exceptional and memorable dining experiences. The friendliness of everyone made us feel so special. David, our waiter walked us to the door and presented a rose to my wife on our way out of the restaurant. Over all, this was an exceptional evening!

We just found this GEM and it motivated me to write my first YELP review. The servers were lovely, even with my flamboyant 2 year old daughter. The ambiance was delightful. They had a live guitarist preforming. The place has several cozy dining areas so you could have conversation and even some privacy while dining. There was a lot to look at inside (with the creative decor and many paintings) and outside (with impressive landscaping and a soothing fountain). And then of course there is the food.... I was lucky enough to dine with my father and his gourmand wife Annie. Being a restauranteur she has educated me quite a bit about food over the years and we were all thrilled with our selections. But before we had any of our dishes the waiter came by with a lightly fried rice ball in a small dish with a gorgonzola sauce. Even my 2 year old ate hers right up it was so yummy. We ordered the Spinach, Beet, Orange and Goat cheese salad with one delectable candied pecan. The assortment of flavors was delicious. Annie had the Carpacio (I have never heard her hum quite like that) and the Pancotti Giseppi Verde, Spinach Ravioli Triangles. I was jealous that this dish had meat as an integral part of the flavors as Im a big fan of sage butter and ravioli. My Dad had "the Chicken" Pollo Repleno and was quite happy. My 2 year old and I had the Bucatini Amatriciana without the bacon, which was a big hit with both of us. I lapped up every bit of the sauce with the home made bread and then enjoyed the fountain while my Dad and Annie finished their wine. What a great place to find on our last night in town! If we ever come back around here we will be back!

If you want cheap touristy food, this is NOT the place to go! This is high quality, hand picked nouveau Italian cuisine. The food comes out as fast or as slow as you are eating. My waiter, Allen, was very wine knowledgeable and knew exactly how to express why a wine was or was not particularly right for what you were asking for. My beet and spinach salad that I split with my 6 year old was fabulous and we both cleaned our plates. My son's gnocchi was definitely original. It was mixed with ricotta and rosemary and definitely the largest I've ever seen, but hands down the yummiest. Again, my son cleaned his plate. My cobia was cooked to perfection and my husband's lasagna (which we traded at halfway) was old school béchamel style and none was leftover. My only complaints, but not enough to remove any stars, is that they use plastic to go boxes (we took an order home for my father in law). I'm a fan of the more Eco friendly and healthier aluminum or paper to go boxes. Also, the waiter seemed a little afraid to take any changes to our order to the chef, like sauce on the side. Even though we booked through open table and we were given an option to make special requests, the staff seemed hesitant to make any. But the reason why I give it only 4 stars instead of 5 (because really, the food IS worth 5 stars) is because local and organic is not a priority to the chef, and it is to our family which is why we support the very few local, organic restaurants we have in this community.

Wow, this food was a treat. I travel for business and have had many good pasta meals in NY and Chicago, this pasta rivaled anything I have had... This is a great restaurant. White table cloths. Upscale wait staff. Gentle jazz guitar dinner music For the Cocoa Beach power drinking crowd, this is a great alternative. We shared the Crab Cake as an appetizer. Crispy and paired with Avocado and acid from tomato and a bit of spice. yum. We shared an order of the spinach pasta triangles. The pasta was amazing but the brown butter and sage sauce really was a compliment. I order the Linguini and Clams. Best I have ever had! The broth was light but had this great butter flavor to it that came through. A hint of herbs. Nice meaty clams served in the shell on top of pasta and a very nice portion size. Warm fresh bread. Wow. This was very fresh and properly cooked pasta. Simply well done, tasty, clean flavors. A couple of notes about the evening. Service is not rushed so it took an hour and a half to eat. That was some of our choosing but I noticed that the bar, not the kitchen, seemed to be a bit backed up for other tables. To the management team, I know you are in a resort community and need to cater to families but could you please seat families with children in a shed, or the backyard, or someplace other than the main dining area. This is a white table cloth restaurant and the worst part of the meal was the loud mouth little girl and her IDIOT parents that did not keep the child quiet. Not the kids fault for lack of courtesy and control displayed by her family. I take no stars away from this amazing meals. Not the owners fault. But please be aware of the patrons who are trying to enjoy your wonderful food.

I guess if you've never been to a really good restaurant you would think this place is awesome. Skip this place and drive a couple miles south to The Fat Snook. Positives - Great Atmosphere! Decent Wine selection (even though our waiter was clueless when it came to wine) Negatives - wait staff needs some work. Our waiter had no knowledge of wine. I get that wine isn't for everyone but if you work in this type of restaurant you should know a little about your selection. Your answer should never be "I have no idea. I don't drink wine". Plus, learn to pour wine. There were stains all over our tablecloth from his drips of our $70 bottle of wine. Also, learn the menu! I asked for his advice between the chicken and the pork and his answer was I've never tried either one. I asked how long he's worked there and his answer was 5 years. Waiter 101, know the food! Finally - food was not impressive. It was good, but at these prices you just expect more. Appetizer Ravioli & cheese plate were blah. I went with the pork and WOW does the chef like sage. The presentation was pretty and looked like it was going to be awesome. Then I tasted it and was disappointed. Not bad, but not great. I should have known as soon as I walked in and we were the only couple under 70. They like bland food and awesome atmospheres. This is definitely the place for them! I won't be going back.

What a treat! My family of four dined Tuesday evening after a lovely day at the beach. With reservations we were seated straight away at eight. Four other tables were filled. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful narrowing the tempting choices down. My son had the Tuna Carpaccio to start. Fantastic! The passion fruit and vinegar balanced sweet tart beautifully. After one mouthful my son wanted to come back another night as soon as possible. My daughter and I had the Panzanella salad nice and bold chances so vinaigrette didn't overpower cucumbers. For entree we opted out of wine because the flavors were so pure we wanted to enjoy our entrees. My son had the Copertina. He loved it. It had a smokey flavor and was very tender for a skirt steak. My daughter had the Pansotti. Once again fabulous. A nice truffle oil finish. My husband had the Salmone baked in a bamboo case. Fresh mango relish wagon the side along with wilted spinach. Sublime fresh dish. He travels a lot and frequently orders salmon. This was one of his favorite preparations. I had the Swordfish Special. Always anxious that it maybe too fishy, I was very pleased with the clean taste of the fish. My entree had a wonderful sauté of tomatoes, onions, potatoes, small black olives... It was fabulous! We had a fun time tasting one another's dish and trying to pick out the subtle seasonings. The portions were just right. Not so large you eat too much. But enough to feel you had gotten your money's worth and perfect to leave enough room for dessert. We got a simple Tiramisu, a Creme Brûlée, Semifreddo, and a Guava Sorbetti. All were light and simple so as to compliment the meal not to take centerstage from the entree. All in all... We were very impressed by Mango Tree. We are checking our schedule to see when we can dine there again!! Undoubtably it will be part of our yearly pilgrimage to Cocoa Beach.

The Mango Tree is Back in Cocoa Beach The Mango Tree opened in 1985 in the historic Cottage Row district in Cocoa Beach. The building dates back to 1939 when it was originally built as Naval Housing. The popular restaurant quickly became a fixture in Cocoa Beach. Residents of the area enjoyed taking their out-of-town guests to dine here. It became THE in place to go to celebrate Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and special occasions like wedding anniversaries and birthdays. When it closed in 2008, shock waves spread quickly through the community. Therefore, when we heard rumors that it was re-opening three years later in 2012 under new management, we were all curious and eager to visit. One recent Thursday, our group of women got together for a luncheon here. Twice as many women showed up than we originally expected which says something about the reputation and popularity of the restaurant especially as it was summertime. The Mango Tree handled our numbers easily. The exterior is now white with a yellow stripe awning and a blue with yellow trim roof. We each received a warm welcome as we arrived. Once inside, I was thrilled with all the interior refurbishments. I dined in the lower dining room just as few steps down from the main level. The room was charming and inviting. The walls are now a cheerful sunny yellow. Several large windows and skylights fill the room with light. A few pieces of lovely furniture, several paintings on the walls plus ceiling fans add to the pretty décor. Our tables were set with white linen cloths and napkins. Small vases of floating fresh orchids graced each table. I think that a member of our group who grows orchids supplied them. As I walked around the restaurant, I kept finding lovely touches everywhere. The lovely entrance level room where other members of our party dined had a gazebo effect look to it and was equally charming. A brick fireplace with a large opening above it looked directly into the busy clean kitchen. A small alcove with mauve drapes lent an elegant touch. Large potted plants added to the fresh feeling. The beautiful large granite topped full liquor bar looked enticing. The bar boasts an extensive wine list. Several of my friends ordered wine or other drinks. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. They were very attentive to our requests and filled them as quickly as they could. We started with a delicious chilled Insalata (salad) di Pomadore with tomato, onion, capers and basil in a balsamic vinegar dressing. We also enjoyed a basket of warm freshly baked bread. We quickly finished the delicious bread and requested more. For my main course, I enjoyed Pollo alla Florentina, which is Breast of Chicken, spinach and melted Gruyere cheese served with a potato. Although the chicken breast was small, it was so delicious and moist. Others at my table ate Tuscan-style Mahi Mahi served with rice and vegetables or spinach and ricotta filled Ravioli with a butter, sage and parmesan sauce. Because we were a large party, the waiters served all of the same dishes at one time followed by the others of the same kind. As a result, in order not to let food get cold, some diners had to begin eating before others were served. It was a little uncomfortable but everyone understood. After our meal, some of us for dessert chose Amaretto pane cotta made with chocolate disks and raspberry sauce which I regretted not ordering after tasting a spoonful of it. The rest of us had Torino di cioccolata - chocolate lava cake with butterscotch sauce, which I had, and it was very delicious. Before leaving the restaurant, I picked up a paper menu for future reference. Owners Lee Ann and Luca Filadis serve a contemporary Italian cuisine. Antipasti prices range from $8 for calamari or Carpaccia to $12 for Capesante (Scallops.) Primi dishes range from half portions of Spaghetti Chitarra, $8 to full portions of Fetuccine Nere, $18. Secondi Dishes range from $16 for Saltimbocca Filetto di Miale to $28 for Vilello (veal porterhouse) alla Sassi. Although prices are a little high at this upscale restaurant, everything is fresh including the seafood brought in fresh daily from local fisheries. The restaurant has even won a couple of awards since it opened, one from Tripadvisor and one from Open Table. I hope to be back for dinner one night soon. I would like to try some of their popular dishes and delicious gelato. I wish the Filadis lots of success with their new venture. If you visit be sure to say hello to Chef Luca. The new Mango Tree is a great addition to fine dining in Cocoa Beach.

Very nice upscale brunch spot for Cocoa Beach! Why wait 30 mins for Simply Delicious when you can be seated right away? The atmosphere is very nice and the value is very good. They don't have an extensive brunch/breakfast menu, but what they do have is great. The eggs Benedict was our favorite, and only $8. The cappuccino and Bloody Mary very good. Can't wait to try dinner here. The new owners are doing very well so far!

Had a great dinner here after visiting Kennedy space center while on vacation. The price is reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. I can't recall the names of the food since they're in Italian, but we started with the tuna/salmon with mango/pineapple on top which was yummy. For main courseI had the steak which was juicy and tender (best I've had in a long time) and my gf had the spinach ravioli which was also tasty. We got the crepe for dessert, as well as the molten chocolate cake and they were pretty good. However, I felt that the chocolate cake needed ice cream with it to balance the warmth of the cake but I'm a sucker for ice cream.

Friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was excellent both food and service. We had the one of the specials: sea bass over polenta. The fish had a nice crust and it was cooked perfectly. The polenta was creamy and rich. Bread was served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and it was really good as well. Our waiter was very attentive and passionate about the food. We plan to go back.

Old waiter was abrupt and rude. Many items on menu were not available. For an Italian restaurant the bread was not good. Tip, go to Carabas and copy their bread. Salad does not come with $25 dollar entree. Food was good but the whole experience wasn't. Wouldn't waist my money again with so many other options.

Went here because they had good reviews on Yelp when I was on vacation in Florida last week. The place is clean and they staff is very attentive but the prices are expensive for what they offer. You don't even get a salad included with your entree for the price you pay and the food comes in half and full size portions. I ordered the full size rigatoni and when it came out it looked like a half size portion anywhere else I had ever been in my life. I wanted to ask where the rest of my food was. If I had ordered the half size it would have been the size of a half dollar. Way too much money for way too little food and this is coming from a New Yorker who is use to paying out the tush for not much. Ever been to a Yankee game?! Don't bother if you're hungry. The food is tasty but you might want to go for pizza after to get full because this place will make your wallet light and your belly still in need.

I decided to take my wife to a very nice restaurant for her birthday. Mango Tree was an excellent choice. The place has been remodeled and looks great. We had a great dinner. I ordered the risotto with sea scallops and it was out of this world (Chef Ramsey would be proud). My wife ordered Pansotti Giuseppe Verdi (spinach ravioli triangles stuffed with beef filet and sauteed with prosciutto, asparagus, butter and sage) sounds amazing and it was! I had to force her to share it with me. For dessert we had a very good tiramisu. Chef Filadi came to our table to say hi and turned us on to a special dessert of yogurtt/Vanilla ice cream with strawberrys marinated in a red wine reduction. WOW! The wine was fine and the coffee was fresh and very good. 5 Stars all the way around.

A really charming, cozy spot with excellent service and excellent food! Try the arugula apple bacon salad - perfect balance and beautiful presentation. Was led here by other yelp reviews in an effort to avoid strip mall type food or chains - and was not disappointed. Love the open kitchen! Will certainly be coming back if I have the opportunity!

Impeccable service. Great food. It was reopened in January with new ownership. They use those snazzy little hooks on the table for a ladies purse. (The small things right?) Great experience! We both loved it! After years of waiting for the chance to go there, the wife was not disappointed.

Love this place! I use to work here in the 80's! Still number one place to go for fine dining and EXTREME attention to the customer! The food is Soooooo good here! Yes, I've been lately! lol This not solely based on my experience from the 80's, lol. If you know me, you know I know what I'm talking about. I know good food and service...... This place is one of the BEST! The garden is so beautiful.... and the pond is too! Simply put: This place is amazing... Go on a night when there's LIVE music.......You'll love it!

Disappointing.... Not worth the price... Several better Italian options in town including the Dove or Amici or even Domenicos. She had the fresh catch which was good but nothing special. I had the Beef Bourgonion which was a small portion and a little fatty. Entree doesn't include salad. So all in all, wouldn't come back.

Since this restaurant has been re-opened as an upscale Italian spot, I've been twice. Both times it's been outstanding. You can't miss ordering some type of pasta dish, either as an entree or to share with the table. The pasta is all made at the restaurant and so delicious. On our first visit, we tried a ravioli that had filet of beef inside it (with other spices/ingredients) and was served in a sage butter sauce. I don't think we left a drop of the sauce. We also tried their bucatini amatriciana...also amazing. On that same visit they were featuring black truffles, so my father and I ordered their beef filet special with a truffle sauce. Oh. my. dang. So very good! My mother ordered their crab cake as a starter and she was in love. The service was wonderful as well. I decided to take my wife back for our 10 year anniversary this past March. We were trying to decide between a few restaurants in town (The Fat Snook, Crush Eleven) but decided that The Mango Tree was where we wanted to celebrate. We were so glad that we did. They knew it was our anniversary and sat us in a more secluded area away from other parties. I appreciated that. We had a soft shell crab appetizer with a delicious creamy sauce. Then my wife tried their mushroom bisque. I was wishing I'd gotten my own bowl. We also had to try another small order of that delicious bucatini amatriciana. It was just as good as we'd remembered. My wife ordered their red snapper special and I tried their double cut pork chop. I've never had a thick pork chop like that cooked so perfectly. Usually it's a little on the dry side (at least part of it) but this was PERFECTLY cooked throughout. My wife's snapper was amazing also. The only slight miss was dessert and it was a homemade coconut ice cream that we shared. It was just OK... not something I'd order again I think. We also had a bottle of wine which, sadly, I can't remember at this point. I must be getting old :\ If you're in the mood for truly upscale Italian, then The Mango Tree is where you should be. This isn't a "nicer Carrabba's" (although I do enjoy Carrabba's.. don't get me wrong). It's in a whole other league. It's a bit pricey but completely worth it.
